VIRTUAL CONFERENCE: Impact Measurement Through Participatory Design

Mary Joyce, Kathryn Shroyer and Kayla Cody from the Do Big Good team will be presenting at the Washington State Nonprofit Conference on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020.

The session, titled “Nothing About Us Without Us,” will explain how to use participatory design to bridge the dramatic power gap between those who measure social impact (foundations, investors, CSR programs) and those who are asked to account for impact (grantees, social enterprises, activists).

In the workshop, we will share ways of using human-centered design to collaboratively co-create measurement systems with the grantees, social enterprises, and activists doing the work that creates impact.

WEBINAR: Impact Cascades: The Adaptive Approach to Evaluation

WEBINAR: Impact Cascades: The Adaptive Approach to Evaluation

Don’t let impact measurement deplete you. Let it empower you and your organization

Impact measurement is stressful. It’s vague. It’s one more thing to do. And then there’s the worry: “What if my results aren’t good?” The fact that evaluation occurs only at the end of a project raises the stakes, minimizes learning, and makes adaptation impossible. With the phased approach of an Impact Cascade, evaluation becomes an ongoing process. Measurement becomes more diagnostic and less evaluative. Assessing results becomes an opportunity to increase positive change.

Do Big Good Founder Mary Joyce will be presenting this webinar as part of Keela’s May Adaptation Series

Keela is a comprehensive platform that gives you powerful, intelligent tools to manage your donors, mobilize your volunteers, market your nonprofit, and raise more money.
