This short guide serves as an introduction to “policy co-design,” Do Big Good’s collaborative governance and participatory policymaking method in which institutions and communities write the rules together. Illustrated with photos from our projects, the guide also includes diagrams showing the process, illustrating how policy co-design compares to other participatory methods, and a checklist for getting started.
